Noya wins Junior Most Improved Player for 2018

A competitive mixed pairs tournament took place at the final training session of the 2017-18 season. 6 pairs took part in the competition that saw some excellent volleyball played, highlighting how far the players have come over this past year. Christina and Ryan took the overall honours, over coming Beril and Jeremy in the Gold medal match. Well done to all the teams who took part.

Following the tournament the club awarded the inaugural Most Improved Junior Player award. This years’ award went to Noya, who has been a member since the formation of the group 2 years ago. To begin with she would come to training after having played football in the morning and would always give 100%. She listens to the feedback from the coaches and applies it to her game, allowing her to improve each session. She has played in at least 1 adult match this season and is looking to get more involved in the adult sessions next season, as well as coming along to junior training. The club looks forward to seeing how all the junior players develop in the 2018-19 season.
