Junior club’s combine for training and matches

  • by

Welwyn and Hatfield and VK Southgate junior sections came together this week in what was a hugely successful festival of volleyball.

The event was held at Southgate school, Enfield and run in conjunction with coaches from both clubs and the County Governing Body (HVA) with the aim of developing junior volleyball within the county. For many of the Welwyn juniors this was their first taste of competitive volleyball outside of a training environment.

The first part of the event was spent developing their skills through a range of drills before players were placed into teams based upon their ability and age. An exciting 4v4 tournament followed with some great rallies played out over the duration of the competition.

Coach Mashka from WHVC said ‘What a lovely session! Everyone truly enjoyed themselves and we will definitely be doing it again in the future’.

Coach Eric from VK Southgate said ‘I am really pleased with how it went. Everyone mixed well, had fun and there were some great rallies’.
