July Update

Dear All,
I hope this message finds you all safe and well. It really has been a challenging time for everyone.
Since the restrictions lifted in June, we have been holding outdoor sessions at Burnham Green on Tuesday and Thursday evenings (7-9pm). It has been great to see so many of you and get playing again. A BIG thank you to Katy who has been organising the sessions via Doodle Polls. The poll is being emailed out to you all and put on the WhatsApp group so make sure you sign up if you wish to attend. After some initial teething issues, the sessions have been running well although the weather looks to have gotten the better of us this week!
In terms of an update, I’m afraid that there is not very much to report. Volleyball England, has produced guidance and a plan for the return of all forms of volleyball but it has no timeline. The Sports Hall remains closed and they have no idea when they will be permitted to open and under what conditions.
So at the moment we are all waiting to hear when these restrictions may be lifted. I am in contact with the Sports Hall manager and will of course let you know if anything changes.
Please stay safe and I look forward to seeing you all again at some point soon Emoji
Russell

  1. Hi, my teenage son and his friend came for a trial the week before lockdown and absolutely loved it. They’ve been obsessed with volleyball for the last 3 months! Could they possibly join in anything at the moment? Many thanks.
