Match update

Wolves find it tough at MK

After finally getting their season underway the Wolves found it tough as they faced last years’ Div 1 and Cup winners, MK. There were some close sets (25-22 & 26-24) but MK came away with the 3-0 win.

Hawks complete the double over Vale

A much-changed Vale team visited SFO and the match was much closer than the first with Hawks having to come back from 1-2 down to take the match in the fifth set. Next up for them are Red Eagles away this Saturday (new start time of 4.30pm).

Wildcats still looking for the win

It was another tough match for the Wildcats as they came up against a strong Vale team including some National League players! Despite losing the first 2 sets they dug deep (sorry!) and took the 3rd set but Vale came back to take the win 3-1.

Sharks see off the Black Widows

In the first match of this seasons intra-club competition these 2 teams were both looking to get that all important win. The first set saw Widows take an early 8 point lead before a run of 11 points saw the Sharks move ahead, eventually taking the set 25-23. The second set was equally close with the same score line but the Widows took the 3rd set 25-19! The Sharks looked to have wrapped things up as they moved ahead but the Widows came back into it and made the Sharks earn the victory, taking the final set 25-22.

As always, a big thank you to all the officials forgiving up their time and making the games possible.
