Cambridge Outdoor Tournament details

A message from our Tournament Director Neil:

Typically the last tournament of the summer season for you to consider. Cambridge is quite low-key compared to others on the circuit. Competitions are 6-a-side, outdoor grass courts and great fun. There are Men’s, Women’s & Mixed competitions.

The city centre (which is gorgeous at that time of year) is only a five minute drive away and superb for a Friday night shandy. The subtle tunes of Lynne and Nigel generally make an appearance as we sing/guitar the night away. BBQ’s are allowed; as long as they’re raised from the ground.

There isn’t typically a rush to book this one. But with that said, obviously signing up on the Friday night beforehand isn’t going to cut is with your Tournament Secretary 😉

Prices:

·         Six-a-side team entry is still “TBC” on the tournie website, I’ll confirm this when I know.

·         Camping is £10 per person; payable on arrival

WHVC booking policy for this tournie is:

·         Booking is all via email to the Cambridge tournie coordinator.

·         Email me in the first instance to say you’re interested…

·         When I get a full six, I’ll email all players to confirm the viable squad.

·         I’ll later nominate a ‘team coordinator’ and they will then need to complete the necessary online registration and collect all payments from the players; I CAN’T DO THIS FOR YOU.

·         Please note the booking fee is non-refundable from the organisers… this means if you don’t cough up, the club accounts will have to cover your entry and you will be charged separately; no place to hide from Aljona.

·         If you can’t make it further down the line, in order to get your readies back, it is predominantly YOUR responsibility to find a substitute player. I will do my best… but obviously can’t promise to find available folk.

PLEASE NOTE: Lynne is coordinating “TEAM FAMILY” and I know some of you will have already seen an invitation. She will be registering the team and collecting funds separately. For everyone else, come to me in the first instance and I’ll put the squads together.

Interested? Please shout. Full details can be found here.

Thanks,

Neil
